The Sandersons in 1900

My information on this period is a bit patchy, but I’ll do my best to present what I have been told by older members of the family over the years.

Jean Dundas, my mother, aged 20

In the 1870’s, Catherine Tough married Alexander Sanderson (that’s them in the picture, left). They had six children, the youngest, Georgina, was my Grandmother. Georgina married Andrew Stewart and they had twelve children. My mother, born in 1899, was the eldest. Her siblings were Annie, Minnie, Agnes, Emily, Alex, Elizabeth, Cathy, John, Thelma, Frank and Alice.

In 1904, my father, Douglas (Doug) Dundas, was born in Brechin, Angus. He had one sister, Nancy.

This picture is of my Mother in 1920, aged 20 (right).
